My daughter--the liberal---well maybe, confused liberal is a better term--called last week to see if I would take her shooting. It is her spring break and she and I enjoy going to the range during the week--less crowded and we can usually find a bay to ourownselves.
The range I belong to is outdoors and has 10 or 15 different bays--for various calibers and situations.
The purpose and reason for taking the number of guns we took was for evaluation--her evaluation. She is starting to get up speed, confidence and ability to handle guns so that she can get her CCW.
We shot at 7 yard--paper pie plate with a glow in the dark dot for aim point.
We took:
.45's in:
A Sig P220
A Colt Gov.
A Norinco Gov.
A M22 SA/DA S&W
.9x23 in the STI gov. framed semi
.357's in:
M28 S&W
M19 S&W
.380 in:
PPK
Round count was in the 200 rounds fired--at least.
She tore the pie plate up at 7 yards.
She liked the Sig a lot--the Norinco not so much. I think & so does she it was the grips.
She liked the 9x23--didn't like the grips so much.
Side-bar. She is a small girl (woman) and has small hands but, like me, likes big grips.
She liked the PPK because it was a more practical size for her--she shot it well also.
She did very good at rapid fire with all--we pretended that there was a BG at 7 yards and she rapid fired each gun at that range.
She loves to shoot and her favorite is still the M28 .357--she calls it White Lighting because of the stag grips.
I never shot a round--she was having too much fun.
Blessings
