Just rode from Manassas Park, Virginia to Southside. It was cloudy the whole way, but I only rode for an hour in the rain. HInt: if you are travelling on Route 29. Stop in Amherst at Vinnie's Pizza on Route 60 and try the Belgian chocolate cake. Your mouth will love you for it.

Got well over an inch of rain today. Last month only had 2" all month.
Right now-430PM in mid MI there are tornado warnings galore. Nearly a solid redband across the state on the weather radar. Looks like it will be well after sundown for it to get out over the lake-Lake Huron.
91 degrees right now. Things are drying up fast.
Today...Decreasing clouds. Cooler. Highs in the lower 70s. North winds 15 to 20 mph.

103 yesterday and 100 today, humdity around 40%. Had a rip snortin thunder storm last night. Only a few drops of rain but the wind was crazy and the thunder and lighting incredable. 100s of thousands of people don't have power. Trees down all over the place and 2 dead in town from trees coming down.
I think a cold front came in and we stayed under 100 today. Just barely.

We can use all we can get, even though there have been a few flash floods in the area. Lake was down over 42" early this year. Its back up to normal now. We've had more rain in July than we had last year. Keeps things cool - well, cooler anyhow.

When I got up it was 75!!! or more.
Between 345 pm and 5 pm the temp dropped 5 degrees to about 85. Humidity up. Corn farmers really need rain. Groceries are going to be out of sight next year at this time.
The $4.50 hamburg will be $6.50/pound.
