So does anyone else have painting season?

I realize most people would call it spring, but around here...

This year we are doing the bathroom and the hall and the barn.

Is anyone else doing anything to improve the resale value of their house? ;)

We got all new interior doors a couple months back and finally got one painted this past Saturday. Hope to get them all done in the next couple weeks.

Actually we are looking into adding some land to our place. A few of our elderly farmers have passed onto their rewards. A new tub in the kids bathroom and making the chicken yard a bit bigger.

You are so lucky. If we wanted to add more land we'd have to move first, or buy a parcel that is not adjoining.

We don't have a chicken yard but we are building more chicken tractors. I have ticks on my property so I like being able to move the chickens (and the turkeys) over the whole yard. Ticks totally gross me out.

Yes when the weather gets warm enough to get out in the garage or open the windows in the house, its paintin time.
This year its gonna be stripping and re painting a couple of rocking chairs out in the garage, but right now its 38 degrees and raining outside, maby in a week or two.

Where are they exactly in the food chain? And chiggers too! OK, and flies, a fly lands on my food and I'm tempted to throw it away. Fly vomit isn't something I want to consume!

Yes, we are going to stain our cedar fence in a Redwood stain and we need to reseal our drive way. Thats all I can think of doing. Not sure whats she's thinking...yet:(

At our house, I have my list, he has his, we compare and prioritize. Usually though the top three things are on both lists.

HK, are you staining or painting? I need to replace some doors, but that's farther down on my list. I have boys in the house still. They like to wrestle and kick, and I like them to feel like they live in a house not a museum. So the doors with the holes can wait a few more years. :D

Can't say I have a painting season... that's one task I'll pay someone else to do. I'll be hitting the ground on the 11th of next month and will be focusing on storage capabilities. Found some 1000lb capacity shelves for the basement and going to stock the bottom with water and the tops with paper products.

Here's one for y'all, anybody have womens products on their prep plan? (Pads & Tampons) Emergency Gunshot Wound kit!!

I have a few in my first aid box for wound treatment. I don't however store them for their intended purpose. I have cloth pads for that purpose. Have I mentioned that six of my children are daughters? There isn't enough storage space in my entire house. :OMG:

We have about 10" of rain a year and almost no humidity so paint lasts a very long time in general. The dry summer sun is hardest thing on the outdoor paint. I wish I had a barn and some land. Hard for me to find room for a ham tower and it's footprint is pretty small.

Well if you're looking now's the time. Prices are in the basement.

We personally have seen the value of our property drop by about 60,000.00 since we bought it. Thankfully we got one heck of a deal when we bought it, and I'm a little OCD about paying it off early, or we'd be under water right now. As it is we lost all of our equity.

Dang, I have two daughters and I'm always usurped by the women...

I've only seen one first aid kit that was basically a "Gunshot Wound" kit. Had the Ringers for fluid replacement and several huge bandages. Last time I checked the outfit had quit selling the kits "With" any supplies. Of course "IV" is not in the "Standard of Care" for many folks out there. I suppose thats why they quit selling them.

I can't remember where I picked up that tip, but sure makes sense to me. What better device is there to stop/reduce blood flow?

My painting will come in about 4-5 weeks-the outside of the house.
