Does anyone here have a Surefire G2? I found a place that seels them for 30 bucks and they will throw in another 20 lithium batteries for 20 more bucks. So thats a G2 and 22 batteries for 50 dollars. I don't know that I need that many batteries right away.

Anyway the G2 is plastic unlike the other Surefires. Does it hold up? Is it pretty durable? What kind of Battery life can I expect?

Thanks
Matt

About 50-60 min runtime on a set of batteries is standard. The plastic housing on mine has held up very well actully shows no wear at all and I have carried it for over a year, that price is nice you have found I say go for it you wont be dissappointed in the flashlight and it's performance especially considering the price. Where did you find it at? is'nt botach tactical is it? read the reviews at bladsforums The Good, Bad and Ugly before you mess with them, if it is. If its not tell me where I might buy one myself for that price.

It is Botach. Are they no good to deal with?

I hope this isn't one of those too good to be true deals.

Great price! I'm almost tempted... :p But then, it's from Botach. Guess I'll pass too.

I don't know what kind of problems that others had, but remember a few weeks ago when I was looking at flashlights??? I ended up buying from BoTach. I ordered it on Sunday night on like and it was in my hands Thursday after work. As advertised and everything accounted for. There have been many people at out club that have ordered from BoTach and had not had a problem. I guess the only people that post about a company are the ones that have a gripe...No one ever praises...Well in my dealings they are A+.

BTW. I am working on a post for the Competition board regarding my experience with my first DARK shoot this weekend. It was a blast! Look for it in the next few days. I am still getting pics together so that those that are on dialup don't have to wait so long to upload...

You might try TAD gear http://www.tadgear.com for surefires, I havent priced with them on this one but have bought several Surefires from them at decent prices and decent service, I think they are a little slow with their shipping method but have a good rep on delivering and they are not a fly by night place been around awhile. I recommend them because of these thing even if they are competition, same kinds of products but not the same products as us anyway check there for that flashlight.

I looked for you here is the link but they are sold out:

Adding in I called today looks like I will be carrying Surefire soon. :) now I will have no money :( but alot of flashlights in the collection like I dont have already geez.

Thanks NGK

I think I am going to wait for now and see when you get them in. I'd rather support someone I kind of know. Let us know if you get them in.

Well, from what I've heard Botach has the kind of reputation that when they get it right, they do get it right, but if they mess up... So you either get really good service or really bad.

that sucks. Here, I hear it on the web, and then at the range, locally in town last week a guy says "don't buy from Botach".

I'm still in the market for a SureFire. I've already purchased the X5 and another CMG through recommendations on this board.

Keep up the good work guys.

I got a Surefire G2 Nitrolon in black today with two extra batteries for $37 shipped. Guy named COHIBA over on TheHighRoad is selling them.

I'm amazed at how bright this little light is. SureFire sure is top-notch stuff.

I have a SureFire Commander 8NX coming that's on back order. :(

Now, I'm thinking about getting one that will mount to my Steyr M40. :OMG:

This should take care of my flashlight needs.

The G2 is a good light, and generally available in the $30-40 range.

For batteries, Surefire just slashed their prices to 12 for $15. You probably won't beat that easily.

And just to chip in, I will never do business with Botach again after they made an "executive decision" to replace my Surefire batteries with Sanyo...

Thanks for the welcome, Redrum... I'm just north of Philly, in the Abington area.

I've come here by way of GlockTalk, and like what I've seen. I think I'll stick around for a while! :)

The latest Guns & Ammo has a full-page ad for the G2. Surefire has reduced the manufacturer's price to $34. I'm going to get another one or two.

This is truly a last flashlight you'll ever need.

I saw that ad too Carlos! I have seen a few places that have them for around 30 bucks. Seems like a great deal to me.

This new little G2 is my first Surefire. I'm sold on em. I am getting another two of these little beauties - one in the toolbox, one in the car's toolbox. One on my body, while I carry at night.

My Commander 8NX is on backorder from Lightfighter.

Next, a Surefire on my AK-47. Yes, I'm serious. :psycho: It's already got the PSO 8x42 and CQB Combat Sling

COHIBA from TheHighRoad is selling G2s for $29.95 shipped. Has deals on batteries too.

I already purchased one and a Fobus holster from this guy. Their company is legit. Tonight, I ordered another.
