Went to a indoor range yesterday with good friends.

Shot the heck outta some 45's(that now I am looking to pick one up)

Now I understand what you guys are talking about when it comes to alot of things, IDPA, Browning Hi-powers and havin a good time..

And to think you might just have another rifle convert:OMG:

But, truthfully, I think I will probably stick with a 45, and not venture too far off of that:dunno:

Path,

You sound excited and that is a good thing. What's not to like?

Hi-Powers, .45s, IDPA and good friends. What a day!

On April 12, John Henry and maybe Gwhizzer will be coming into town to join Rod and I for a shoot. It's a new combat handgun course taken from IDPA, IPSC and police tactical training. Sure wish you could join us.

Thanks for your report and glad you had a good time.

Yes Path and Grayfox and I had a great time shooting

When Path was looking at Grayfox's guns to see what
he wanted to shoot he couldn't just pick one.

Path looked like a kid in a candy store.

I'm glad that we got together and had a good time.

I am beginning to pull back from my neutral attitude of the Springfields. Have been to the range twice this week getting ready for the Spring Regionals this weekend. I think I am at close to 600 rounds through the 9mm without any maintenance. Still running like a top. I am holding high hopes of it getting through this match without any problems.

Also ran 100 rounds or so through the .357Sig conversion. Had one nose dive with the S&B ammo. But I wasn't shooting it at the time, so I am not sure the round was all the way to the back of the mag when it was first seated. The nose dive was for the first round when the slide was dropped useing the slide stop instead of racking the slide. Not ready to make any judgements or calls of a problem with it just yet. The gun itself ran fine. It really made that steel sing. :D I really believe going to a 10mm Shooting Star mag is the way to go on a 1911 in 357Sig.

I also noticed how much more polishing I have done to the 9mm. I can hear and feel the difference between the .357Sig and the 9mm when I rack the slide. I am becoming a bigger and bigger proponent of using Flitz to polish all the contact points between the slide and frame of a Springfield 1911. It really seems to be making a difference in getting this gun as reliable as my 1911s that cost twice to three times as much.

Path.. glad you got to go play with Turtle and Grayfox. They be good folks. And at least he didn't tempt you over to the dark side of all those revolvers of his... :D

Buying and shooting your first Glock!
Shooting Black Powder...(not through your new Glock though)

but in this context...buying a revolver! Which I...do not agree with! There is nothing more classic than a revolver...single-action preferably...But to each his/her own...

Path ....
There is only one "down" side to falling in love with the off-spring of J.M.Browning *JH bows head*.

There are so many to pick from .... this is not all bad, just very expensive if you try to get all of 'em.
