When these drives are more common place will they run on an old board thru the standard IDE interface?

And be able to move the info as quick as they are designed to?

Im guessing there will be a new cable to handle data moving as fast as these drives move it but is there limitations in the MOBO or processor that could slow it down???

KMDO...I am not very well versed in the ATA, but it's limited to the speed of the serial bus on the MOBO. I don't think (and I may be wrong) that the ATA drives are going to sork with a non-ATA rated MOBO...But then, I havn't seen a non-ATA rated card in so long I am not sure that they are out there any more except very old systems...
