This photo is one of those that I was hoping to save for political black male. Unfortunately, I don't think that'll ever happen. This is Tree and his son, with there *gag* AR15s.

Actually this was last years Christmas Greating from the staff at Belle River Arsenal....my little gun shop.

Note: while my Bushmaster Carbine AR costs a bit more, my son's makes those really cooooollllll electronic shooting bullet sounds. Can't beat that!

Also please note: My son is practicing good gun safety. His rifle is not pointing at anyone, and his finger is off the trigger.

Sorry Ladies: I am happily married.

Careful Stu,
It is only thru my connections with Santa, that I have managed to keep you off the Naughty list for three years now. :D

But of course, you buying an AR-15 sits very well with Santa.

He in fact carries a Bushmaster Carbine in the sleigh in the event he encounters trouble. Not to worry though....Rumor has it that he is like the Lone Ranger, in that every shot he takes, disarms the felon, and never hurts them. But they do get a stern talking to, and an addition to the Naughty list.

Note: none of the above should be misconstrued by any, that I might be Santa, because everyone knows, that while I am Jolly, I do not have the girth to be Santa.

Phewww! That ought to fool them.
I guess I dodged that one, for a minute, I was afraid, they might discover who I was...

wait....

Is this voice recognition keyboard entry system still activated...

agggghhhhhhhhh!

Where is the darn delete button!
Good thing I did not say submit.

Don't submit!!!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Tree - :D

However, I do think that you have been deceived about Santa's armament.

True, he carries a Bushmaster. But only in the role of a "saddle gun." The rear facing, elf manned, swivel mounted M2 HB Caliber .50 Machine Gun is Santa's primary bogey repellant.

Now, SANTA may shoot to disarm... but the elf? Well... the elf is another matter entirely.

It sure isn't milk and cookies that make Santa jolly! ;)

Thats why I am here Stu.

Cliff, good imagery on the 50 cal rear turret guns, aka B17's.

However, the elves made a change in the early 80's to my...errrr Santa's 6 oclock protection device.

They installed a Phalynx system.

Only one mishap with it in 19 years. On one of my...er Santa's runs,Blitzen had a cramp in his back legs. Well everyone knows the stability of a sleigh is greatly affected with a lame hind end drive unit. In lieu of stopping in the Azores,

Stu, the elf keeper of reindeer heards north sector 20, elected to attempt a mid air reindeer replacement.

Well he up and sent Rufus, the rusty colored nosed reindeer, to take Blitzen's place.

The problem is he forgot to radio ahead to
CLIFFton, the target acquisition opps elf riding in the radar room of the sleigh.
Well ole CLIFFton, mistook ole Rufus, for a mig fighter jet. Needless to say ole Rufus did not lead my...errrrr Santa's sleigh that night.

Mrs. Clauss did have a nice venison roast waiting for CLIFFton that night.

Oh well more about that later. :D

Tree - Oh, yeaaaaaah. I remember that evening. I think somebody fudged the log books, tho.

Here's what REALLY happened...

When the Phalynx system was installed, along with its required acquisition equipment (not to mention the APG-70 synthetic aperture radar) the gross weight and trim characteristics of Santa's sleigh were shot to hell.

More thrust was required. The standard issue Reindeer, Santa, sleigh were no longer up to the task. They were replaced with more powerful units - the new Moose, large, very, Santa, sleigh.

The performance of these new units was impressive.

The log is correct that one of the units suffered an inflight malf. However, it was not Blitzen... it was Mongo... one of the new moose units. The replacement moose, Triton, was inbound on replacement op.

Now. You were correct that nobody told CLIFFton. He painted a *very* large object that, in that sector, could only be one of two things: A) A MiG (perhaps a 21)... or... B) A Moose.

CLIFFton wanted some trigger time and reasoned no matter WHAT he would either have A) One splashed MiG ... or ... B) Dinner.

Poor Triton. He sure was yummers, tho.

:)
