While up picking up my new Savage 110FP in .308 and of course waiting for the approval of the little yellow paper, she just had to point out a new AR hanging on the wall. Now not just any AR mind you but a Brand New, Never Owned or fired, Pre Ban Bushmaste A4.
These all had the Bushmaster 2 position collapsable stock, trap door grip, factory sling, bayo lug and a real birdcage flash hider.
They had about 6 of them in various configurations. I didn't think much of it then but the next day bright and early I new I was a done deal.
Back to Ogden and checked out all 6 of them. they have a Colt in 7.62X39 1/12 twist and I guess they are rare, a fluted barrel, a flat top and 3 like the one I got. Prices were between $1249 and $1370.
I picked a $1299 priced because it didn't have an handling marks at all.
Well this makes #4 for the AR's and I am selling off 3 nice SKS rifles if anyone is interested.

I need to stop I mean really stop. March I got a VMatch, April a Dissapator, May and SA M1A, June may Stone M4, July the Savage 110FP and Aug or Sept this.

I need to find a new hobby, maybe beanie babies

Unlike Beanie Babies, which are totally useless, totally worthless and are harmless to things that go bump in the night, guns will continue to hold their value. Oh yeah, you can`t eat either one but a BB ain`t gonna put food on the table either!

Carston- Now you've done it. What are your post ban ARs with the spiffy fake flash hiders, and fake folding stocks going to do? Your going to need another safe just so your pre ban doesn't get the snot kicked out of it by all the fake post ban ARs. :D If you had read my post at Assault Web, you could have had my SP1 for a little more then you paid for that Bushmaster. Or you could have saved yourself some real beer money and started buying mini14s. :D

Its ok Carston... Stu will never see the light... We have to accept this. As far as I can see, Stu only has two real faults; Mini-14s and Glocks. We just have to have patience with him. :)

Congrats my friend. Sounds like a sweet deal.

I came home to good news this afternoon. Professional Ordanace turned that Carbon-15 around in less than a week; door to door. I'm gonna check it out tomorrow afternoon. If it runs, it is for sale and we start working on getting the FAL.

Bubba- Ands here I thought my only fault was not being a true son of the South. :D Let me know if they actually managed to get that Carbon 15 to work. I've heard some real horror stories about there lack of reliability. The kinda horror stories that make me wanna go out and get another mini14. If they managed to get it running well, and your selling it. We might have to have a brother to brother to chat. :)

Carston congrats on the new adition to the family.

There is really no excuse why a preban AR should go unadopted.
I am very glad you opened your heart for one more AR.

Its a well known fact that Mini 14's really don't need homes because for the most part they are just plain uncivilized. Some say savage like.

Whereas the AR-15 is of good breeding and full of potential in the right hands.

You have indeed made the world a better place with your new purchase.

Perhaps one day we could get together and our ARs could play together.
This weekend would work, I have a high power match at the gun club, and my Colt will be exercised some.

Oh, geez thanks guy. I do so hope someone can get to Stu and help him soon.
I mean my Heart goes out to him, he sorta like puts up the ones that no one wants
I noticed the other day that all the Mini 14 where I shop are on a rack 9 feet up the wall  and they were all dusty.

Well they had 5 more Preban BM if anyone is interested. a few different uppers and I think 3 more A2's with Hbar.
I will be glad to get pic's and hand pick one if any one wants. They do have a 7.62X39 with a 1/12 twist as well.

Stu, ole buddie......You will never win, you are losing as we speak. Your little pistol shooter Dude has been changes to what looks to be a Korean shooting an M16.
Stu, the Gun Gods all put us here for a reason. There are the Anti's, There are the wantabe's and then there are guys like us here. Guys like Bubba, Tree, Wolv, Cliff and a few others that were picked to champion the way of the right. So to say spread the good seed, to Buy USGI mags and take our AR's, M1 Garands and M14's into the next century....We shall leave the ill fated, doomed Mini 14 in it's tracks.

Okay I am gonna have a cheap beer and fondle a bunch of pricey rifles. I hope someone will join me, open there safes and get out a really nice Gun :p

Stu, I comend you.....I mean someone has to buy then

Its a well known fact that Mini 14's really don't need homes because for the most part they are just plain uncivilized. Some say savage like. Poor poor Tree. You'll never know what true happiness is as long as you live in that AR fantasy world. One of these days you, and the disillusioned people like Carston, will wake up and realize that its us the proud mini14 owners that keep this country free so you can own them AR thingies. :D

Stu,
It must have been hard, Your wife leaving and all, your other life long companion the Snake passing away. So I am sure you have found soltice in you collectition of Rugers. Let us all take a few minute and think about Stu's plite. He is way confused but out of support I say we all go looking for a Mini 14 and get a deal and then buy one out of respect....NOT :p AR's rule, Mini's drool.
My Heart goes out to you but can you tell me what Med's they have you on? I may want some
I am gonna call a Denver station and request that old song be played every hour...what was it "Can you hear me Major Tomm...can you hear meeee"

Don't you just love the freedom to pick and choose what gun to buy? This country is great!

Two weeks ago, I went in to buy some cleaning solvents and a Remington 700 VS SF .220 Swift caught my eye. Mine you, I already have a decked out .220 with all the bells and whistles. With all the customizations, it's price tag is near $3000. So my logic was... I could use the customized swift as a range gun and buy this Rem to shoot varmints with. Sold

While I was waiting on the paperwork, one of the sales rep pulled me in the back and showed me a freshly traded in S&W 629 w/ 7.5" barrel. It looked like it had one box of .44 Mag fired through it. Price tag was unbelievably cheap... $295 Sold

Then he showed me another freshly traded in gun, mint condition Browning XT Over/Under... Sold

I came in two days later to pick up some 50 grain Hornady VMax bullets to reload and my eyes immediately grew to the size of saucers. Before my lucky eyes, sat a pre-ban Colt SP-1 Carbine. Now, I already have a pre-ban Colt SP-1 Carbine that's in 95% condition. This one was close to 99-100%!!!! The 'special' price on it was $1200. Logic told me I did not need another one nor do I need to blow anymore money this month on guns... Sold

Oh ya, also picked up a used Colt 1991A1 Gov't.

Somebody help me!!!!!

Gee Son! quite a week. I hope you still have ink in the pen and a check or two left in the check book.
:D
I bought something of interest last week.
I managed to buy a pack of chewing gum. Not just any ordinary gum.
It was Winterfresh. I have chewed one piece and put the rest of the pack next to my Bushmaster Carbine.

Son, I imagine you have to be that gun shop's favorite customer.
I can hear them now...." Hey here come Son, we will make this months payroll after all"
:D

In all seriousness it sounds like you really struck gold with your new acquisitions. Good For you!!

Hey Stu....

Just got back from the range with the Carbon 15. Runs like a TOP! Ran 100 rounds through it with different mags... Bushmaster 10, Thermold 30, USGI 30 and a REAL cheap knock of 20. All of them feed like a dream. Tried Georgia Arms, Winchester and SA Surplus. Nary a hitch. Finally... :D :D :D :D :D

Somebody actually admits they own a Mini 14 and proud of it? Who Who Who???

When the Mini 14 grows up, it wants to be an AR. Until then, it's just another wussy rifle :p

My Mini 14 has a home as does my Savage .308. If they are uncivilized, then so am I.

Well, I love my mini-14's. They shoot well, never jam (unless I have a bad "aftermarket" mag in them), and are really easy to care for. When all those purty AR's jam and the raving hoardes are coming for you, me & my mini's will come to your rescue...

:D :D :D

For once I have to stand beside Dennis, instead of over him per usual. :D When the hordes come, we'll have a use for you AR owners. You guys can be loading mags for us. :D
