Has anyone either owned or shot one of these guns in 458 Win Mag? I believe the model is 116 SE Express. My collection covers just about any needs I can envision except for that one "elephant gun" that has the power to kill anything on the planet with margin for error. By that, I mean it does not have to be a perfect shot between the eyes or through the nostrils or wherever the creature's vulnerable spot would be to decisively drop the beast in question. The big attraction for me about the Savage is the adjustable muzzle break which should significantly reduce recoil. I know, it's loud, but I always wear hearing protection and am more concerned about punishing recoil than a loud gun. How is the recoil on this gun? As a point of reference, the most powerful rifle I have shot is a Marlin Guide Gun in 450 Marlin. I found the recoil to be fairly stout but not painful or overwhelming. Should I go for this gun or a different brand or caliber?
