Any one here have any experience with the Baikal over/under shotgun/rifle combo guns I know the fit and finish is less than premium but, for a knock around GP gun they look good and they come in several caliber/gauge combinations that Savage never though about making. the price looks real good and most of what I've seen from them is acceptable quality. Does anyone else have any thoughts on the subject?

I have never shot one Scott, but have looked at a couple at gun shows. The fit and finish isn't all that bad, but they are a little heavy compared to the Savage. The lock-up is very solid, but then again, it is a Russian made gun.
yeah I kinda expected that they would be a little on the heavy side they seem to err o the side of caution and leave plenty of meat on their stuff, and since they put some pretty peppy calibers in it I'm glad to see they are solid. I've kinda been thinking along the lines of 12ga under either 30-06,308, or 7.62x54R. Another case of no real need but, well who wants to stick to just what they need. :D
