I don't know much about American car market, but if you could give me some ideas about reliable (I want to buy used car) family/transport car - maybe 4x4 but good with 2WD will be ok too. Someone told me Subaru Forester - any other ideas.
Now I have Nissan, but European and American cars are different in 90% cases. I don't want to spend more than 10-11k$.

1973 Land Rover chassis, very few miles, believe me, this is really for sale at that price - I'd buy it if I could! Think they'd let me into the unit driving this?
:dunno:

Subaru Forrester's are nice, but they ride to rough for me. I have had back surgery so I need something that will ride smoothly. For reliability and longevity a Subaru can't be beat!! I have had a sedan and a Brat...Loved them both!!

Depending on the size of your family, a minivan might be a better choice. They are better on gas than a SUV and able to carry more.

If you are looking for a SUV then believe it or not (hold on to your hat Path...) I like the new Pathfinders that are out!!! Don't know much about the reliability but for looks and functionality they are great....

In our local Auto Locator, There was a fully restored WWII Halftrack with a twin mount .5o on it for sale,,, for less than I just paid for my Corvette! :OMG:
Had me thinking!

Jeep Cherokee. You can find them in all price ranges. My daughter has a 92 with 180k, reliable as an anvil, I've got an 01, my 5th or 6th. Change the oil, give them tires and brakes when they need them.

Thanks for information, Jeeps are great looking cars too!
We will need a car for max 4 people family and sometimes transport big, but light things. Used car because I don't like new one, and it's cost too much. Thanks
