How many FFF's have had experience with a Saiga .308? Been looking at them for months. There has been a few good writeups on them too.

The loving wife held one at Murphys when we picked up her CZ, and she liked it. At $177, that's the cheapest detchable mag SHTF rifle I have found, yet.

i have not owned one. i did get to shoot a 7.62x39 Saiga, and it really seems like a lot of gun for the money. the fact that they have the side scope mount is a plus. only downside is that i felt the trigger reach was a bit long.

i wonder if post-september there could be any hi-cap magazines popping up......

I'd be surprised if there aren't hi caps designed for all the single stack AK designs, just waiting in the wings....

not to mention the only thing that stops a double-stack from fitting in a Saiga, is some sheet metal. many a folk have converted Saigas to double-stack by simply "opening-up" the magwell.

To do it legally, you need the requisite number US made parts. There is a shop that is converting them legally, but it's more expensive than buying a new SAR1....:dunno:
