Starting down that UZI road today

This is my first Class III purchase, and it seems daunting! I finally got the money for the NIB Vector UZI (full size) that a local guy was selling, so I paid him and had a dealer make up the paperwork. Then I had to get the seller to sign the new papers, and today take them in to get fingerprint cards made ($10 each) then leave it all for the Sheriff to sign. Then it all gets sent back to me, and THEN finally it can go to the ATF along with $200!

This is gonna take forever! :) At least the seller said we can meet anytime I want to shoot it, and when MG matches resume here in September he said he'd bring it and I can use it. Cool!

Very nice! :D Nothing like a Well Fed Uzi :) (or well fed ANYTHING C-3 :D )
Your wait could be as little as a couple weeks, or up to a year :o... Don't let it discourage you, it's worth it :D

BTW, PICTURES, we must have pictures! :D :D

Sincerely,

The weirdest part for me so far was when the guy brought the UZI over, then left with it and the money! :psycho:

Ah, well. Got the fingerprints today and left the paperwork to get signed by the Sheriff. In a week or two it'll get sent off to the ATF - soon as I get it I'll post pics! :)

In the mean time... start stockin' up on ammo, mags, a decent mag loader, and start savin' for a suppressor for it! :D :D Nothing like an Uzi that sounds like a hyperactive air nailer! :D

Here's a pic of me and one of my favorite ammo eaters. Unfortunately, it's a post-sample.... None allowed to be sold to the shooting public :( :(
Glock 17, Eotech Holosight, 33 round mag, and underfolding stock. Runs at a little north of 1300 RPM :D

Guy, that's beautiful! Guns like that bring a tear to my eye - because I want them! Is it nice just to kick back here and not be a moderator? :)

Yep, need to stock up on ammo and get the dies and stuff for 9mm. Have to also find conversion kits in .22 and .45ACP, and get that supressor ordered!

Thanks V ... and yes, it's real nice to kick back and relax ! :D

Not sure I'd bother reloading 9mm ? It's pretty cheap at present .

I have more fun with my Ciener conversion in the gun below than almost anything I shoot . Luckily , I bought the kit just before they ran out of 30 rd mags ! It sounds like a woodpecker on the indoor range . :D I have a seperate DPMS 16" Bull upper with an Aimpoint that I use just for 22LR .

That looks like fun ! I shot a std Uzi many years ago . They do run well . The smallest auto I've shot is the Beretta 93R with shoulder stock . It was real sweet !!

Lotsa fun. I've always wanted to try a 93R :) Perhaps one of these days...... The 9mm M-16 we had out was fun as well :) Also the M-11 .380 w/ Gemtech Viper... It's always a hoot! :D :D
