Tony from Finland

Over here in Finland, the mid-summer is a nation-wide holiday that just about everyone celebrates. (Which is pretty interesting when you concider that it's strictly a pagan celebration, not linked in any way to christian religion or the country's history...) Usually the celebrities include burning bonfires and generally hanging out at the country side. Of course, this being Finland, alcohol is widely concumed too. :( I'll be working during the whole holiday but I hope y'all have a good time. (In fact I should probably go to sleep now - I still have to pick up my uniform tomorrow from the dry cleaners before going to work.) So I'll just finish this glass of red wine and be on my way. You'll hear from me again sometime after Tuesday morning local time. Have fun but behave! ;) Ok?

....well 'midwinter' here, but pretty mild considering your seasons there - not surprising that you celebrate your summer, pagan or whatever diety. No wonder you also have a superlative vodka as well as some of the worlds best e-networking, so many dark months. Enjoy!
Hasta pronto - Peter

Tony,
Sounds like a great holiday. I hope you don't have to work too hard.
Today is the first day of summer here, at least by the calender. It has felt like summer for over a month already :D
