Beck and I went ,to buy the adver tised savage .223 for 419$.
No sign of the rifle ,never had it and will not be gitting it in either,we was told.
I asked about a rain check or some thing else and was told real smuggly that no way would they do this.
I also have in my wallet 2 rain checks for win white box 223,55gr ammo for a total of 2000rds. At 2.89 per bx. so i was told they are too old and That sure is a lot of ammo'. Had the rain checks since august of 04.
Visions of lawsuit and giitin vengence with millions in my bank account . But i aint the suing type ,and am tiring of this sort of thing with no recourse?
guess well just let em rot far as my liittle chump change money goes.
Rant off,Bobby

Just out of curiosity did the rain checks have an expiration date? I would go back on the next nomal work day and quietly work my way up the chain of command until I reached the store manager. I would tell him I would be contacting the local newspaper's sporting activities correspondant. I'm willing to bet that might get his attention (and light a fire under the wisea*s who sluffed you off.

No exp date, and have gotten thru to Ammo dave as they call him out there 2 times, aith the statement I"ll get back to you.
As far as the ammo goes ,I believe it aint worth it now. The news paper here ,whew!
I am glad Beck was with me and it saved me a probale embarassment, it has been a strange week.
I even showed them thier own sale paper. Might git Beck to write a nice on line letter to the company.
The part on normal work day sounds good, cannot promise it will be the next work day tho, Thanks

1. Talk to store manager...not the department manager. if still no satisfaction,
2. contact Corporate. They will get the ball rolling. They don't like bad PR.
don't let them get away with this one...false advertising is not something that they want to be know for...and it's illegal....

beckrodgers: My local Sunday newspaper (Las Vegas Review Journal) had an advertisement for the rifle you were looking for. If they do not have it in stock tell them to ORDER IT!

If the paper does not have a comment on limited availability, then in most states, they must supply the item or a reasonable substitute. In Texas it is known as the Unlawful trade practices act which forbids things like bait and switch.
