So who else is getting a gobble growing in the back of their throat?

Just over a month and a half away until Spring Turkey opens here in WA, I can taste one cooking up in my smoker right now :D :D

Anyone else feeling the itch? Who is going this year?

Yep! give me 5 minutes to get my gun and gear and I'm on my way. :)

My favorite of all hunt'n is in the spring
for Gobblers.

One of the great things about it is,it don't make any difference wheather you get anything or not on any given day. You can still have a Great Hunt. Even if an Old Gobbler win's
one mourn'n ,he'll be back or another one the next day or sometimes the same day.

Kill'n turkeys has nothing to do with it, for
the most part, for me anymore.I can do that and they are good eat'n. :)

But the real 'Trophy' is the do'n it,be'n in the spring woods, when the world is wake'n up from a long winter. Sunshine, new green grass,
dogwoods and redbuds in bloom and freash air.

If heaven isn't like that ,I don't wont to go.

Things trying to green up here. Even got blooms on some of the flowers. Some of the trees are buding. Its one the way and boy am I ready. Lots of turkey up at the lake. Haven't thought to ask about spring season but I will.

I love turkey hunting more than deer hunting and I REALLY miss deer hunting.

Good luck to those who get to go, I wont this year but next year I will try to go.

Miss hearing that gobble go through the woods.

I have the first week of May for my season this year - looking forward to it! It always a great time - albeit we put on a ton of miles those 5 days!!!.
