I have not been impressed with milsurp .308. Good plinking fodder but expect a few problems.

If you can still find it, British Green Tag is great .308 ammo.

The Malayasian (sp) M-60 ammo is okay.

i have been satisfied with the Aussie surp. and the S.A. fodder. someone (CTD?) had Lake City "overrun" for sale by the 1/2 or full case. it was boxer primed reloadable.

Surplus .308 is definitely good enough for beginning shooting, break-in, site-in at 100, emergency battle plans or for trading. SA, aussie, LC are my best results. I have plenty of match ammo but we don't do matches. Got an email somewhere from a man that still has RADWAY .308.

General consensus is that Indian ammo is junk. Most other milsurp is OK and Aussie is great.
