No, I don't have a link or anything. But I guess the Philly mayor is going to join the PA governor sometime today in calling for stricter controls on concealed handguns due to 71 murders in the last 74 days in Philly. No word on how many murders any of PA's 28k+ CCW permit holders were responsible for... *Sigh*

I am betting that the number of CCW holders in that study which committed MURDER and not self-defense was ZERO

Still no link, but just pulled this off Neal Boortz' (http://boortz.com/nuze/index.html) web site:THE CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE
Over the past few weeks there have been over 20 murders in Philadelphia. Nobody seems to understand just why. City officials are taking the predictable route. They're asking for more gun control laws. At a time when violence in Philadelphia is at a high, politicians want to make it harder for citizens to arm themselves for their own protection. The mayor wants a moratorium on new gun permits. There is no evidence that one of these 20+ murders in the past few weeks was committed by anyone with a gun permit. Not one. So the Mayor's solution is ... no more gun permits. I saw Mayor John Street on CNN this morning. He made the idiotic statement that "If you have a gun, you're going to use it." Is John Street really this ignorant? Study after study shows that the more law abiding people you have carrying permitted concealed weapons for self defense, the lower the crime rate. The harder it is to get permission to own or carry a gun, the higher the crime rate.
Someone needs to educate the Mayor of Philadelphia. If, that is, he is teachable.

I haven't heard to much out of them on the issue, just the one mentioned up above. Right now they were more worried about smoking in barrooms and restaurants,,,, Simple things for simple minds!

Just heard on the news where at the urging of Moron Street, he will attempt to go for one gun a month and to push law into allowing cities to write and enforce their own gun laws.
Whatever that slob Rendell thinks, it's against the States Constitution!
I guess bad guys will just only be able then to steal one gun a month and turn in their CCW permit!
