MAINE'S PROPOSED GUN TAX . . . Firearms owners are objecting to a plan that would tax their purchases of guns and ammo (http://pressherald.mainetoday.com/news/statehouse/050324security.shtml) an additional seven percent to pay for a public safety improvement at the state's courthouses, where six guns and 1,400 knives and other cutting objects have been seized.

How about fining the morons that get caught to pay for "public safety"?

Nothing like getting taxed for something you didn't do :rolleyes:

They will tax you for anything in my State, but I doubt it will go through, the people come out in droves when there is something that will mess with thier hunting or shooting.

Just wish thety would pay attention to the other stuff as well so we could fire the damn RINO's.

One of the highest tax percentages in the union and one of the lowest average salary.
