CZ 75B & Kimber Custom II Target |
Picked these beautiful babies up yesterday. WOW!
I have wanted a CZ for over a year. It feels like it was made for my own hand. It has a satin nickel finish and came with two magazines, two snap caps with ten snap cap refills, and a small cleaning kit. Nice touches. Hope to take it to the range this weekend.
The Kimber is my first .45. It came with just the one mag and the 'wrench' to dismantle it. No owners manual. Disappionting. Field Stripped it and cleaned it up last night and managed to get it back together again and, other than the small mark in the cathedral ceiling made by the recoil spring cap when it launched itself out of the gun, no damage was done and it still functions. It is a little different than the nines I am used to. Saturday I go to my club to purchase my re-loader and for instruction ~ I figure it will be lots cheaper (and more accurate) in the long run.

New Kimbers come with an instruction manual. We are a Master Dealer and I've yet to see one without a manual. Holler at the shop you bought it from. Contact Kimber. Get a manual.
I assume you have a 5" Kimber since the 4" & 3" Kimbers have a "loaded" recoil spring guide and if taken apart incorrectly are ruined.

I love my CZ 75B and it shoots as well as my higher priced 9s. The only pistol I have that fits my hand better is a Jericho 941FB, a clone of the CZ I think.
Range report needed on the Kimber, Tom. The only Kimber I have had was a compact and it was not especially reliable, but it was the best feeling pistol I have owned. I would love to have a full size Kimber.

As Popeye said - there should be a manuel. Check under the foam padding in the case.
Congratulations on a fine pair of pistols.

Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see.

Congrats Tom :)
Where abouts in NYS are ya ?
I hope this works. They are plain Janes for now. I hand loaded my first 100 rounds today ~ not so bad, a few inverted primers, even tried to put one in sideways but no bangs, thank God. Now comes the really SCARRY part ~ shooting them!
Thanks for all your good wishes. By the way, I did receive a manual but I was confused because they call it an "operation" manual.
