WOMEN WHO HUNT . . . Even though 2.5 million women hold hunting licenses in the United States, the women's hunting experience has never been explored in video documentary format, something producer/director Carol Wagner of Austin, Texas, is about to change. "Women Who Hunt" is her project, and it will focus on women who are successful hunters, their lives and their view of their place in the natural world, according to Wagner. The filmmaker's goal is to have the documentary air on PBS, HBO or similar channel interested in exploring this fascinating subject. Already in production, the documentary is being funded through donations and grants through the Austin Film Society. Supporters so far include Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas State Rifle Association and the Hunting and Shooting Sports Heritage Trust. Companies or individuals interesting in sponsoring this project can contact Carol Wagner at 512-371-0870.
