Alright, just curious, who all makes rimfire pistols? So far I've got:
Ruger
Browning
Smith & Wesson
SIG
Beretta
CZ

Those are just the ones I could think of quickly. Who'd I miss? Currently made pistolsonly, please.

Mine is from around 49 or 50, I looked it up and that model there was only around 3000 of them made or so, I ove shooting that thing, not one hick-up. My browning goes to the range to let other people use. :D

You looking for a shooter or a pocket gun? There are all kinds of crappy pocket .22s.

I have a browning camper that is pretty good, no frills rubber grips but it will ring the steel everytime on my little spinner target I have.

Those three companies are no longer in existence.

Jiminez Arms has taken over.

Volquartzen (not associated with above manufacturers :D)While my experience is very limited with them, The Pheonix HP22 seems to be anything but a "junk" gun, and extremely accurate for a picket pistol.

The Volquartsen semi auto wins the hands down all time record for being the butt ugliest handgun ever made.

Looking for a shooter, just something to keep in the car, should the need arise. I was letting my sister drive my car last night (first time in mine) and she hit a dog at about 45, didn't quite kill it. Only weapon I had on me was the SKS in the trunk, and a 7.62x39 makes a little to much noise, ya know? Had to call the police and wait for an officer to come put the poor thing out of it's misery. I'm leaning towards a Browning, mostly 'cause the local gun shop has one for $199.

The Browning Buck Mark would be an excellent choice, IMO.

I have four of them and they have all been great pistols.

Beretta makes two models, the Neos and a more expensive model (model 82? 84?).

I like the Ruger MK IIs and Buckmarks.

I couldn't just take your word for it - had to go look. All I can say is I hope they make up in accuracy and reliability what they lack in appearance...

It IS possible to make that action into a decent looking handgun, but don't look for it to happen anytime soon. You would have to grind the square edges off, ala 10/22 to do it.

My little Hungarian Walther PPK clone, shoots Aguila hypervels exclusively & has eaten this diet exclusively since I started carrying it 5 years ago... no problems with it at all, it's my CCW 'mouse' :D
Interarms import. Don't know if they are still coming in, but they show up on auctions once & a while. :)
