Prime minister announces 'liberal movement'

"JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, announced Monday the formation of a new "liberal movement" after resigning from the right-wing Likud Party he helped create, saying it could not achieve Israel's national goals..."

Yes, and if I'm not mistaken, the results will be as disasterous for the US as they will be for Israel...

Sharon is the most experienced and astute leader Israel has ever had - bar none. This hawk isn't rolling over... he's guaranteeing power for decades. Sentiment for their war with Palestine is very low and he has an entire generation of peaceniks to draw from. He also has the steadfast loyalty of the military... we are going to see an example of how a third party can win in this country. Watch him...
