The patented inertia technology that has driven Benelli to its position as the manufacturer of the world’s most dependable shotguns will now be made available in all of the Benelli USA Brands: Benelli, Franchi and Stoeger.
The “Inertia Driven” logo declares that the M-2000 has incorporated in its design the patented Benelli inertia bolt with a rotary locking head. The same system that has given Benelli shotguns a reputation for being the fastest cycling, most reliable shotguns in the world.
The inertia bolt has fewer moving parts and does away with the gas cylinders, O-rings, and other complicated parts of gas operating systems. It also keeps the gun’s action cleaner, as gas and burnt powder are kept in the barrel where they belong. The Inertia Driven system is the better engine to put under the hood of a semi-automatic shotgun and it’s now available in the hard working M-2000.

its like comparing a Model T to the latest automoblie, both are similar in basic function. 4 wheels and a gasoline engine.

Yep. I think my Nova is anti-inertia :D And the mossy is downright opposoinertia :D:D:D
But if you think about it, it is like a simple blow-back. This is progress :dunno: Although it could solve the problem I have with the auto - inconsistent cycling with different loads.
