So,
Yesterday my wife went with the 2 year old and her preschool class to a farm for hayride, horseride, etc...
The big news was riding on a BUS!
Then AJ went for a ride on a horse (Actually a pony I think,)
The kids went on a horse drawn hayride.
On the hayride someone else said to the kids "LOOK for animals, rabbits, squirrels Deer..."
AND MY DAUGHTER SAID...
"A DEER!, DADDY SHOOT IT!!!!"
:D  ;) :D :D :D
My wife got some looks.
BUT I couldn't wait to tell this story.
Ahhhhh, Fatherhood.

P.S. I wasn't sure where to post this, then decided I was proudest to be a Daddy. :D

Thanks, WO (Hello also)
Well I haven't posted much here lately because the 2 year old is big sister to Danielle, Born July 24th.
And the 2 year old is my range officer when I practice with my bow in the backyard. (We live 5 miles out of town BTW) When I am ready to shoot I ask AJ (Alexandria Janine, the 2 year old) what is out there (Pointing towards my target) and she says "A DEER!"
I am hoping by being the one to say RANGE HOT and RANGE COLD, go get arrows she will have a better understanding of what to do in a few years when go to the range and shoot guns.
Of course she gets tired of it long before daddy. but it will help when she gets her own bow...
Thnaks Hipower, I am trying. Just ask my wife, she will tell you I am a VERY trying person!

VERY cute! Kids tell it like it is!
Is it a Halloween place where they went? My daughter went last year to a pumpkin farm with her K class, they had hay rides and pony rides, and a haunted house.....and she got to take the bus! :D I am in Northern IL, not far from WI border. I believe the pumpkin farm is in Antioch?
Congrats proud daddy :)

Yes Sandy, We are fairly close to the border, but the farm AJ and mommy went to is in rural Jefferson, WI.
(My buddy hunts deer on the same farm).
Ram, You don't know how true that is! She knows the alphabet and her numbers and colors, pretty much. (Sometimes it abcgh... but she is 2!) She is clever, and remembers things like who was here yesterday, peoples names, how to get candy... She likes to "HIDE" (While shouting that she is hiding under the blanket ...) and shout BOO! at whomever she is hiding from. (Now maybe if she weren't shouting "Me hiding under blanket" people would be surprised...)
We are getting NO from her alot, but offering her two choices and letting her pick one is a good sidestep. All in all a great kid.
She wants to hold her little sister, and help feed the little one.
later,
Gfrey
