It is up to us to end the war.

In my humble opinion, it is up to us to do what is necessary to get Hezbollah out of Lebanon. I would fly 10 B52s over Damascus with fighter escort, and drop leaflets telling Syria that the have a week to recall all of the missiles that they sent to Lebanon or face the concequences. The only thing those *******s understand is force. If they attack our aircraft, send them to Allah. If they do nothing after that, make them pay heavily for it. The damn French, Russians, EU and UN complain about the Jews, because they are too biased to want any end to the conflict that provides Israel with a safety, but we should stand up for the Israelis. Hell, I am not Jewish, but I feel that the Israelis are closer to us than any other nation! Furthermore, I hate terrorists like Hezbollah!!!

As so eloquently stated in another thread:

If Hizballah and Hamas laid down their arms, then there would be peace.
If Israel laid down their arms, they would cease to exist.

This approach would put Syria in a tough position. They no longer have the keys to Lebanon since they were evicted last year. SO they helped the weapons get there and continue to funnel weapons through Lebanon now via Hizballah, but they are in the awkward position of not being in a position to recall the weapons without an invasion.

Syria is the enabler. Iran is the puppetmaster.

No! Dead wrong! No!!! For us to actively participate brings us to the edge with China, Russia and the EU. Economically, if they joined forces, they could bankrupt us.

Better plan? Yup. Three dozen MOABS delivered on El Al aircraft. Let Israel use them to our mutual advantage. ;)

I think if China, Russia and the EU could economically backrupt the US, they would have already done so. They could make it hard on us, but it wouldn't be an easy go for them either. And, as none of them can really get along with each other, or anyone else; I think they would be in big trouble in no time. I'm not for getting involved in this fight unless absolutely necessary (and I don't believe the Israelis feel they need us) however; if the time comes that we have to do the job; we should just do it, hard, fast and final. Screw what's left of those countries after we finish, no rebuilding, no helping them establish a democratic government. Just leave them further back in the stone age than they already are.

They would bankrupt us? Now that would be killing the golden goose! China would not have an economy if it were not for cheap exports to the US. Russia is less relevant than ever. The EU will never really be a player unless they coalesce and lose their sovereignty.

Please, let's not forget the extremely HUGE Chinese surplus. Let's not forget that the EU actually imports very little. Let's not forget that the Russians would drive their people into starvation to hurt us. Let's also not forget the BILLIONS in US debt held by these countries, either.

As Greenspan once said, "Let's not sell our adversaries short. We are not a country that would drive our populace to despair to harm an adversary. They would. Our debt and our economy are,in effect, in someone else's hands." paraphrased.

As some have said, we can than God that they hate each other as much as they hate us - for now.;)

If the chinks, ruskies and euroweenies joined together to try and bankrupt us, I say, "bring it on big boys, bring it on." #1) Enforce no further imports from China. Their economy caves. Pay them back on debt? Why would we do something so foolish when they would be trying to destroy us economically. #2) Pull 100% back out of NATO. Let the euroweenies defend themselves for once. Seize the assets of all European countries doing business here in the States. #3) Stop any further trade with Russia. They'll implode under their own steam. Would we be feeling the impact of those three decisions? More than likely, but if the three of them were trying to bankrupt us, wouldn't we be feeling that even more?

I like that approach. We could actually use the hardship here to right the ship. We would come out of it stronger.

Pay them back on debt? Why would we do something so foolish when they would be trying to destroy us economically. Or, since they already produce nearly everything sold in this country, they could just continue to produce and take our place as the supplier. #2) Pull 100% back out of NATO. Let the euroweenies defend themselves for once. Seize the assets of all European countries doing business here in the States. There is no mechanism (it's not legal) for the US to nationalize foreign assets. #3) Stop any further trade with Russia. Again, they'll gert it from the EU and from China, via other outlets. They'll implode under their own steam.Nah, the Russian Mafia can supply (it already does) the Russian marketplace. Would we be feeling the impact of those three decisions? More than likely, but if the three of them were trying to bankrupt us, wouldn't we be feeling that even more?

Question: Which government lasts longer when they put the squeeze on their own populatrion? Russia, China or the US? My bet it isn't the US.;)
