That NASCAR race yesterday was the best racin' I've seen in a couple years..

Saw sum of it,the color commentaters were clowing real good it seemed at times.

Saw sum of it,the color commentaters were clowing real good it seemed at times.NBC is the most inept sports TV company on the face of the earth. Compared to Fox, they only have about 1/3 of the cameras available on the track, and no one to switch between them at oppertune times, and the "Color" commentary can best be described as "mud".

All they do is talk to hear themselves. It's REALLY bad now that Earnhart isn't out front all the time, and their favorite drivers name to incessantly repeat over and over.. "Buckshot Jones" ...is no longer there to talk about, (they like the way "Buckshot" rolls off their tongues) and since they haven't figured out how they can use the word "Gravitas" on a NASCAR track, they are lost. Twice, I caught them blabbering about how so and so was only going to make a two tire pit stop.. WHILE THE CREW WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF CHANGING NUMBERS THREE AND FOUR.......

The thing that is the very most irritating is they outbid Fox for half the season, not for the priviledge of showing the races, but instead, to keep you from watching Fox while they force you to watch a stupid freaking golf tournament. They KNOW that if Fox has NASCAR on, they loose most of their viewers.

Keeping a camera on a car that ran out of gas... who, by the way, wasn't even running in the front half of the pack.... and follow him coasting for a full half track to the pits and get more gas and leave while there is some screaming hot racing going on up front deserves nothing less than to be shot.

The NBC sports organization is the most inept group of people in the entire industry.

The one thing I hate about NASCAR is how these once was guys are all sitting in the booth trying to make it sound like they know grits from gravy about cars.

"Well DW, I think if he could get a quickie caution he could come in, jack in a little more wedge and make that car stick to the track."

And you know this because...... You heard a crew chief say it a few months ago???

I can't remember which one it is, but one of the "sportscasters" is a former weatherman, this doesn't mean he knows anything about weather or stock car racing...
