Frenchy, I had read a little about this around the 'net.

I've got to ask....what would it take to create a website that provides the same service that is gun friendly? There would be the cost of the site, naturally. But after that what else? The buyer sends the money before the product is shipped so there should be no liability on that score.

What would this take? Is it something that we could do? Anyone?

I'm sure it could be done, but I haven't the knowledge on how you would go about it.
I have contacted AuctionArms concerning this, and they are quite upset. They are putting out a message to their customers and advising them of the policy. Although AA and others (Gunsamerica, etc.) can't dictate terms, they can inform.
It would seem that businesses like the Gun Auctions, etc. would have the expertise and the self interest in promoting a pro-gun setup like PayPal. After all, when EBAY went anti-gun, that's when we started to see the proliferation of these "gun buyer/seller" sites, and they have grown very quickly.
After all "Necessity is the mother of invention"! It is something we should pursue.

Pay pal is a internet transfer system. Anytime you buy something on the internet (unless its gun related now I guess...) you can use paypal for a small fee to make sure you dont get cheated. You mail them the money, and the seller mails them the good, and when they have both, they send them off...that way there's not a "seller" who just takes your money, and don't send you your purchase.

You can still use them for purchasing gun's from auctions, vendors and individuals. They won't allow you, if you're a business, to place your shop on their website. This is a double standard in my opinion.
