I just wondered if there were any of you who loved the works of C. S. Lewis as much as I. I find that I need to return to Narnia, revist his essays and even spend an evening with Screwtape every few years.

I read his stuff (the five (I think) book seriers with the lion and such) in high school. I did enjoy his work. I didn't know then that he was a christian writer, nor did I care.
I've not read alot of fantasy or even sci-fi in the past couple (about 10) years. I love to read and maybe I'll pick up a couple of his books.
I judge an author by his or her writing and story telling.. and I would consider him very good at what he does, no matter the why.

But through the closet first, right? I've tried ALL our closets!.....
It's never through the same door and always unexpected. It may be a picture on the wall or a gate through the fence. But, when you're needed the way to Narnia always opens for you.

Jim,
I read the narnia books for the first time way back when I was in 4th grade. They are great. My favorite 2 are "The Magician's Nephew" and "The Last Battle." When my daughter was old enough, we read her "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe." She's read all of them now. In a few years my boys will be old enough for them. :)

We read the Narnia series as a family on winter evenings one year. My personal favorite was The Last Battle.
I also like Screwtape.
I read a biography on C.S. Lewis several years ago. His life was almost as fascinating as his books. His personal journey to Christ was very interesting.

jim, I'm going to move you to Hob Nobbing. This would fit either there or in Entertainment but will probably get more attention in HNing. ;)
