Is that where the Pb symbol came from for the atomic tables?

Plubdinum is not a recognizable word.

Lead is a chemical element in the periodic table that has the symbol Pb (Latin: plumbum) and atomic number 82.

It's the element Unobtainium decays into!!!
Unobtainium and it's alloys have a half life of about 48 hours.
The inevitable decay starts as soon as you leave the shielded environment of the gun shop wherein you have just purchased that tacticool whatnot made of it!!!
