As you may know, I work for a Cat dealer as a parts guy.
Since I live in Indiana, a lot of the employees hunt and shoot and have carry permits. As such, we have a lot in common with our customers as well. Many of them also are gun or archery folks.

I had a great encounter with a farmer from Ohio, he owns a Cat Challenger 65 ag tractor, and he came in with a brake problem. We were discussing my hobby of killing groundhogs, and he is a varmint hunter as well. He told me of his 90 kills this year using his
.22 mag, and of course, that is what I use for these short range areas where I hunt. He tells me he ran accross some really great ammo, the CCI Maxi Mag with TNT hollowpoints. I have heard of these, I tell him, but have not picked them up as yet, but I do intend to try some. What does he do, you ask? He goes to his truck and gives me a brand new box of this ammo. Now, I have customers bring donuts and other food items, or hats , or pens or somethng like this, but never ammo! What a great surprise, and pleasant encounter.

Do any of you have any experience with this ammo? The hollowpoint is very aggresive. He swears by the stuff.

You gotta love "gun people". :D
I've used the CCI stuff you are talking about but it has been so long ago that I can no longer remember how well it performed. I'm embarassed to say the only .22 mags I even own now is my mini revolver and a couple of those cheap German import .22 single action convertables.
You are saving those groundhogs for EOSMIII right? ;)
