I thought I would share my weekend plans with you. I haven't been to the range in awhile, for a variety of reasons, but last weekend my Beloved and Nic and I went. We had a really good time, and stayed several hours. When we got home our girlfriend who stayed with the other children asked when she could go to the range. We had another couple of friends over for dinner and we got to talking about going shooting. So we made plans to go next saturday. This morning I was talking to another female friend of mine (who is an avid shooter) and asked her alone too. My nine year old daughter will also be with us. We aren't taking that much to the range two handguns and three long guns, because the other two young ladies haven't ever shot before.

Here's the neat part. The guys are staying home to babysit and the women (and the girl) are going to the range for the afternoon. Picture this....4 women, 1 girl, five guns, on the range. :D :D Who's willing to bet that the range officers are VERY attentive?

I'm willing to bet that the range officers and eveybody else there for that matter, will be pleasently surprised by how well you do. :D

We'll definately need an after action report on this one. ;)

I have always felt that A Womans place is in the home,....if You,re coming from the north it's about six miles east of I-81 on Rt.24, turn besides the Kroger store and it's the third house on the left, if I'm not there, come on in, have something to drink, and I'll be back soon, looking forward to meeting You,
Tye,the VERY lonely,

(Feel free to water the plants, play with the cat or read A magazine, the dirty ones are in the cabinet below the T.V.)

Tye,

Watch out for THE bat. It seems to change from hand to hand with great frequency. Even though it is Blue's bat Turtle seems to wield it with the greatest viciousness. Watch out for her. :D

After serving as a RO over the weekend I pity the one who has to deal with our lovely ladies who are soon to descend on him. 4 women, 4 weeks in the month, odds are that at least one of them is in a bad mood. :D

Greg (still ducking and running)

Sorry Ty, all of the ladies are either married or about to be. You have to be fast to get one of the good ones. :D

Greg, I don't use the clue bat. I don't need to. Being the board mom, all I need to do is give someone the "mom" look. And for the record, I think the RO's are pretty safe. I'm pregnant, my one girlfriend might be pregnant, and the other two girls were cranky last weekend. (The nine year old doesn't worry about that yet.) THe only ones that might have a problem are those men that don't have a very high opinion of a woman's ability on the shooting range.

Gray-I don't know about pleasantly, but I guarantee that some of them will be suprised. It really freaked the RO out last weekend because I kept switching hands. I will definitely file an after action report on this.

Actually they teach you that look in mom school. That's also where they implant those eyes in the back of our heads so that we can see everything. And I can't ell you where mom school is. That is classified information. :D

i believe it, too.

but....how come i was always told, "you didn't come with a manual, ya know!"? wouldn't it make sense to give moms a manual for each kid, at this mom school?

i'll draft the petition :) ;)

A manual wouldn't work. Every child is different. It's kind of like teaching English grammar. For every single rule there is at least one exception to that rule. (Which is why English is the most difficult language to learn.)
