I wonder what the value of this is? Oh, yes, I'm bidding on it.
Smith & Wesson Model 625-3 .45 ACP revolver. Half moon clips. Model of 1989, 5” barrel, stainless finish.
On the other side the barrel is marked Model of 1989

- .45 ACP or .45 Colt (disc.) cal., N-frame, stainless variation of the Model 25-2, 6 shot, 3 (disc. 1991), 4 (disc. 1991, reintroduced 2002), or 5 in. barrel, round butt, choice of matte or satin (new 2005) stainless finish, ramp front (3 or 4 in. barrel) or Patridge front (5 in. barrel) sight, full lug barrel, Pachmayr (disc.) or Hogue rubber combat grips, 45 oz. New 1988.

Approx. 1,500 of the 5 in. barrel models had a frame stamped '625-2', roll engraved barrel with '.45 CAL MODEL OF 1988' barrel inscription, and a ramp front sight. Laser engraving replaced roll engraving in 1989.
There have been 10 engineering changes for this model.
Add $29 for satin finish (4 in. barrel only).

Don't know the value but both of the ones I fired were superb revolvers. Oh damn, I just admitted an S&W was a great gun!

I think I own around 20-25 S&W N-frames. They are all excellent guns - all of them. Pre-lock and pre-two piece barrel makes it even better. Last time I was in South Texas similar revolvers were going for around $550.00. If you really like the gun I'd recommend going at least that high (I don't know how prices run in Michigan). The odds aren't good that these are going to get any cheaper as time goes by.

I agree with budroe. All kidding aside I own a 25-2 and wouldn't trade it for anything.
