Gunney, on another board, started me thinking with "no-frills functional, everything you need, nothing you don't 1911." I guess that is what describes my Ballester-Molina and most of my 1911s. For years I have tortured SAC with my on going search for the ideal car/truck/carry handgun. So you want to see examples of my no-frills functional, everything you need, nothing you don't 1911s, don't you? Look below. Regards, Richard ;D

Great guns!

There is nothing more no frills/functional than an as issued M1911A1. Improved sights would be the only change that is a real necessity.

That is God's own truth! Everything thing else is nice and unnecessary. A good sight package... and the same configuration you learned on.

I can't speak for the others but my Para LDA's ...

... only function flawlessly with FMJs -- HP's aren't very reliable.

So, Alan... send me the C12 and I'll work on it and get it cranking HP's for you - no cost! :D It might take awhile... but, it'll be free! ;)

My Paras, all four of them, digest everything I give them and I give them everything.

Its possible, Alan, that you got unlucky.

No frills and functional.
Sigs.
STI's.
Worth making functional.
Colts.

What wrong with FRILLS? I like frills. I am frilling one, as we speak. I have frilled several others. It is fun to frill. Frills can look good. Frills may not help function but they make functional look good.
Blessings
