Bloomberg has already commited several felonies by his stings but no one has the cojones to arrest him for them!

That's what gets me. He used PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS to do these "stings." These guys are not cops, and so do not have the protections against prosecution that cops have. It's already against the law to make a "straw" purchase, so why aren't the Virginia cops going after these "private investigators?"

Why haven't any of the gun dealers pointed this out in court? You can't use evidence gained illegally in a trial, and if I remember correctly, you can't use it in a civil trial, either.

What the heck are the Virginia police thinking about? I can understand their hesitance to go after Bloomberg (although I would, if it were me), but they shouldn't have any second thoughts about going after ANY AND ALL non-law enforcement personnel.

Good on ya, to the Governor of Virginia, but he should take it all the way.

Virginia police? Where is the BATFE? Bloomberg and his boys have committed several Federal offenses while running their little stings!

You can use it in a civil trial. 4th amendment protections do not apply.

Newspaper reporters get away with this malarkey quite often.

I've seen instances of these same tactics being used by the media in their attempts to destroy gunshows and create a public belief that a "Gunshow Loophole" exists. I've seen both local and national media send in strawmen in some cases convicted felons to make firearms purchases from private sellers while the whole incident was being secretly videotaped in order to make claims that gunshows are the main source of supply for criminals. My question is why aren't the BATFE prosecuting these cases of straw purchases and purchases made by prohibited persons on behalf of the media.

Again feeling fortunate to be living in Va. But when will this northern agression end? Just joking, but seriously, good to have a Governor Looking out for the rights of the citizens instead of looking to squash them.

The Gov. needs to press charges against Bloomberg the he would truely protecting the rights of the citizens of your state.Bloomberg committed felonies in New York, Conspiracy To obtian Firearms, Conspiracy to Illegally transport firearms accross state lines, Employing persons to commit illegal acts. The same would apply to Va., Federal charges would include RICO, and many ATF charges. Why isn't the Gov. of Va. or the other states not going after Bloomberg? Why isn't the D.O.J. going after him? He has confressed publicly and on record so the case should be easy.
