I picked up this Smith model 10-7 last week. I just happened to open the paper that morning and saw it listed for $185 in the classfieds.

It's in perfect time and the cylinder has no end shake and very little rotational play.

The next step is to put some service grips on it and a Tyler T.

The Model 10, in my opinion, is what made Smith & Wesson. I love them all! Very nice piece and a good price.

Holster wear on the muzzel & front of the triggerguard... the owner had been a shipyard guard at the Higgins Boat Yard in Lousiana where they made WWII Landing Craft. Never shot till I got hold of it. Paid $50 (private transaction) the year before Kali paperwork complicated things & drove the prices way up:P Point of aim is 50' with the issue sights. Tyler grip adapters are a Good idea - I have big hands:D

I have small hands and the Tyler T's improve shootability on everything I've tried them on. Mr T

My model 10 is one of my favorite guns. That it was a Detroit Police revolver makes it even more interesting.

Great deal on a wonderful gun.

I love it and have limited exp with it.
My cousin bought his,a pair of hand cuffs and a holster for 58.00 in 1962.
His was/is a heavy barrel mod 10 and was instrumental in my choich of the mod 13 I eventually got.
Fine pistols.
You got a good bargain.

O'Fallon is right. S&W's model 10 and Colt's D-frame are/were the backbone of the entire industry.

Great deal! Looking forward to seeing it with new grips, while I don't like the Tyler T grip adaptor Visually, I do like the way they make certain revolvers, Colt Cobra, S&W M10, etc. fit in my hand! HAVE FUN!
