Here is today's Sixty Second Activist ACTION ITEM:

ISSUE: Sign the petition opposing the proposal by Senate Democrat Leader
Tom Daschle of South Dakota to grant amnesty to approximately 8.5 million
illegal immigrants.

After receiving a backlash of criticism, President Bush quickly retreated
from his idea of granting legal status to 3 million illegal Mexican
immigrants.

In response, Democrat leaders propose granting legal status not only to 3
million illegal Mexicans but to all 8.5 million foreigners living in the
U.S. illegally:

Both President Bush and Mexican President Fox say they oppose amnesty for
Mexicans living illegally in the U.S.

Illegal immigration is a serious problem that Congress must deal with.
But granting amnesty to 8.5 million illegal immigrants is not the
solution.

ACTION ITEM: Please sign the "Petition To Congress Opposing Amnesty for
Illegal Immigrants". It will be delivered to:
