I'm curious as to the fastest rig that you have ever had? What holster and what gun?

Was it comfortable and quick to get to?

I have some comfortable rigs, but not very concealable (tactical thigh rig)

What is the most concealable rig and fastest that you have or have had?

Best rig? the one I made for my Newt Livesay Company Knife by turning the sheath upside down, running my belt through the loop, and using the attached para-cord to make a around my left shoulder, run across my back and a loop around the right shoulder, with a tie-down running down to my belt. Nice little crossdraw shoulder rig for a decent sized blade. Carried better than one might expect, I was afraid the para-cord would bite in, but it didnt.

I know... you were asking about gun rigs... well I felt like being a bit different... so.. :p

Actually, I dont have a lot of experiance with gun rigs, I am not to picky, yet, as I dont have much reason to be, since I rarely carry.
My favourite holster is probably the one for my CZ-70, its a leather belt-slide, I got it at a gun show back in 2000... its hand-made, by a guy I had never heard of, just cant remember his name now... he was from El Paso I think. I could be wrong. But yeah, its my favourite holster, holds the gun well, and snug, but is an easy draw, and it rides very comfortably.

I have little or no rig experiance with knives or guns... honestly... with knives, I usually carry a folder, and guns I usually dont carry.

Altho, the best knife sheath I have had is the one that came with my Newt Livesay C.K. (either rigged up for shoulder carry, or not rigged up for shoulder carry).

Shooting for time quite often, I have tested several different combinations. I have done draws from strong side hip in concealment. With a leather IWB (Sparks VERSA MAX II) I was out and with a hit COM at 3 yards in about 1.4 seconds. (1911 of course. ;)) By changing to a MadDog Taylor Thunderbolt kydex holster, I dropped that to 1.05-1.15 seconds on a fairly regular basis.

For pure speed and nothing but speed there is nothing faster than a quality (relatively) "low slung" single action rig with a muzzle forward tilt and a short (4.625-4.75") tuned single action. My first love in guns.....single action fast draw. :D

But I know that is not what you were asking.
For me the fastest and most convenient concealment method is an IWB worn slightly behind the point of the strong side hip and a slight butt forward tilt. (Think of the Dukes rig but carried IWB. ;)) For weight, ease of draw, speed and getting on target quickly I prefer a four inch N frame Smith. Six inch N frames for me are more comfortable to carry. But the four inch is the fastest for me carried that way since speed is what we are talking about here.
Asa sie note I also much prefer wood grips. Rubber grips tend to stick too much to my hand and if the gun is not perfect there is no way to adjust without losing time during the draw. But that is just me.
