When I was in Viet-Nam, the Republic of, some of the troops would from time to time, get bad vibes about something. Usually just before we jump off or we sit in ambush at night, someone would say, "I got a really bad feeling about this one."
It isn't scientific because some guys would say it and sure enough it was a bad night or sometimes, nothing happened.
How about you guys? Listening to your gut feelings?
Have any of you had an experience and you found out that you avoided it and something really bad happened at the place that you were going?

I trust my gut... gut feelings about things seem to be pretty near accurate with me, most of the time.
One example, of one where I didnt follow my gut... sat there all silent as mom drove off in this mud puddle that turned out to be about 4 feet deep. :( :p despite the fact that I had a feeling that I should tell her not to.
No water sucked up in the engine, thankfully, and a neighbor pulled us out. (I know, not tactical not CQC related. just pretend there was some mobster after us or sumthin ;))
Have made the driver find a new gas station a time or two, 'cause I got "bad vibes" from some of the "bangers" I saw around.
Got bad vibes from a dude who ran a little novelty store one time, decided I really didnt wanna do much shopping there, about a year later he was arrested for being a pedophile.
So yeah... I put a lot of stock into what my gut feelings tell me.
Might be nothing at all.. but when there and alternative, why risk it, ya know?
I think bad vibes are really deductions from what you see or here.
For instance the bangers you saw, they look like trouble so you stay away from them. In other word be observant, it's your best defence.
I do follow my gut instincts, I know a souple of times it turned into good arrestes and several times my staying in an area I feel prevented an actionable crime form being commited. i have had them and have nothing I put a finger on happen but, who knows the extra alertness may have warned someone off.
