A little birdy told me about a 22 that just came in on trade at the local store. I haven't seen it yet, but I blue booked it and all that jazz. I am curious to know if anybody around here has owned/shot one. Or, even better if there are pics of one at your disposal. I checked HK website, and they don't have any info on their old guns (Disc 1986).

It's a 5 to 20 round automatic with a wood stock and high lustre blue barrel.

I appreciate any info
Jon

We had a H&K 270 (.22 LR) and a H&K 300 (.22 WMR) in the shop. They seem to be extremely well made rifles. Overmade, even.

I don't know the condition of it, but I believe the price is about $700.

I got in there today to look at it. It's not in the greatest condition. It's been used over the 20+ years it's been in existence. I'd like to think the guy traded it because he thought it wasn't accurate anymore. A friend was playing with it and noticed that the scope wasn't exactly snugly fastened to the gun. It has a Bushnell 2x .22 scope on it, 5 round mag, and the salesman was thinking about $500.

BTW-Does anybody have any good links to anyplace that would sell mags for this gun, particularly 20 rounders.

Thanks again
Jon

When I was examining the gun lastnight, I noticed a mechanism directly behind the trigger guard that could be pushed upward. When it was pushed, you could see a sleeve that slid over a shaft coming off the back of the trigger. Do you have any idea what that does??

Thanks

Not a bad lookin gun, but I'm not gonna joke, I think that big stick mag looks kinda silly...

Other than that, it looks great. And from the link posted above, seems like a potentially great shooter...

I agree that the 20 rd mag looks kinda silly, but let's ask what the squirrel thinks after I knock him outta the tree! :D :D

It came with only a 5 round, which I can easily live with, but the more 10+ round mags in my possession before '09, the happier I'll be

@ klugj1

This thread is a bit dated, but I joined y'alls board so that I could pass this along to you. You may have found some magazines for your HK270 by now, but if not, there were some available at tacticalinc.com just a while back. Item number was maghk270 The fit and finish was OK, and they feed well in my rifle.

http://www.tacticalinc.com/22lr-magazine-p-337.html

The page is still active and the item is still listed, but if you call ahead they will check to verify on-hand stock.

Also, I have no affiliation with this store, it just so happens I found some there when i was looking.

Best regards

Thanks Jenkins!

First off, welcome to FFF if you decide to make this place a home.

Second, I found a place that can get them, but their price was $10 more. I'm glad I waited. I will definitely order a couple.

Thanks again

I'm sure it will too Dave. I just ordered 2 15 round mags. The gun is still on layaway, so I can't play yet. Soon enough though.
