Anyone have any experience or opinions on the little Beretta Bobcat in .22? The tip-up barrel seems like a nice feature for this plinker/backup gun. The trigger, however, seems quite creepy.

We sell a number of them at the shop. It's a nice small pocket carry gun but for self defense, I'd rather go with the .32 model. It's about the same size and if given a choice between a .22 and a .32, I'd taken the .32
Mine has been a solid performer... the wife likes the tip-up barrel 'cause she doesn't have to operate the slide to load it.

They are definitely good guns but, as I said, I think that I'd take the .32
Depends on your intended use of course... but in a pocket .32 the Kel-Tec is a much better choice for me.
The little bobcat is just for fun... and much cheaper to feed! :D

I had a buddy who carried one as a concealled weapon in Pakistan back when the Soviets were running around next door. Luckily, he never had to use it. For plinking its a nice little gun; for self defense I agree with Sir Knight - the Tomcat .32acp is a much more capable round.
I have serious concerns with using rimfires for self defense. While misfires are rare, they are much more common than with centerfire cartridges. My .02.
