The only thing violent and subservient societies understand, seeing as how kindness is seen as a weakness, is power and force. These are what have ruled the Middle East and Asian societies for centuries.

The conditions these people live under today are unchanged from centuries in the past, that primarily being the value and equality of the individual are foreign concepts which are not embraced by tribal societies or totalitarian regimes.

Our future conventional conflicts will be best conducted by special forces and para-military groups wherein small forces will work with local leaders to offset or destroy those forces we deem as a threat to stability.

I recommend reading The Horse Soldiers, The Strongest Tribe and No True Glory (the last two books by Bing West) to get good insight into what has and hasn't worked in regards to our "armed adventures" in Irag and Afghanistan. Jaw Breaker is also a very good complimentary read to The Horse Soldiers, as it describes the CIA paramilitary actions stand point versus the Special Forces military operations in The Horse Soldiers.

Point of interest, Mulisms are only loyal to their "religion" and only
"laws" of their "religion" and not man made laws.
Converts are not on an equal level of treatment as Arabs.
It might be a good idea for Americans to take a closer look at
this "religion" and see why our socitiy can not coexist with Mulisms.

I am starting to think the only thing that is going to end this is turning a large amount of sand into glass. We have tried to help, we have tried to be the world cop and we have tried to be nice. The soft speaking hasn't worked; time to pull out the big smoke stick. We need to stop worrying about what our friends or enemies think, normally they are commenting from the sidelines. Being nice has gotten our people killed. Japan stopped all aggression after the nukes landed, not before. Maybe we need to pick out the next Nagasaki.

Al Qeada already pays them $10 for every IED they plant. Now with us paying them they are getting two incomes. We're literally payin them to kill our troops.

Well of course he is. That will make for fewer Americans to fight in his last battle to turn America into a Socialist State. Besides..., if Obama can change us fast enough, there won't be a home for our soldiers to go to. They'll be stuck in limbo with no country they can call HOME!
