I've got some stuff from http://www.pkfirearms.com/ and they give great service and are fast. If they don't have it in stock its not on the website which makes finding things easier at times. So what brand and model did you get? Also I saw the other thread where you asked about 223 laoding data, do I take it that you got one with a .223 chambered barrel?

Edited to add: BTW I really like the Magpul PMAGs which PK has in stock right now for a good price.

Enjoy the rifle, I never thought I had any use for one til I got it, now I wouldn't part with it. I took my last three coyotes with it.

OK that is a 1 in 9 twist barreled gun, it will like heavier bullets for the most part. Mine is 1 in 9 also and loves 60 to 69 grain bullets but hates 55 grainers.

I guess the 1:9 barrels vary. Mine loves anything that I feed it. Also, there is a show today and tomorrow at the state fair grounds in Little Rock. Look around there for some stuff.

Yeah me and my buddy phil (arguntrader) were supposed to go but he had stuff come up and so did I So neither of us are gonna make it.

Mine has been shootin 55 gr with no problem, but with that twist should i be using heavier? Im not used to such small grains, but again this is my first ar. I have mainly 308,30\30,270 and stuff like that.

In my experience two things stablize a bullet, speed and twist. A 1 in 9 twist usually likes bullets up to 69 Sierras sometimes 77 Sierras but it will need to be tested. I assume you reload your own..

Winchester makes a super fast 45 gr. bthp load specifically for 1:9 barrels. My BM Modular LOVES them. Also, I built a HB Savage Model 10 Tactical(recrown, bolt lap, trigger job (old school trigger, don't care for the accutrigger) AETEC 14x glass) chambered in .223 that was a ONE HOLE GUN at 100 yds. with that round. Ridiculous speed from that round too. Might give it a try.

Ammoman.com has quality magazines for sale at a good price; think they sell them in lots of 10. You may can purchase fewer, but I'm sure if the price goes up.

All of mine like the Tubbs load of Moly-coated 69gr. Match King and the Hornady TAP (Tactical Application Police) 62 gr Barrier round. All of mine after being fire lapped will shoot 1/2 MOA with either bullet. They are all 16" 1-9 twist Bushmasters.

The Hornady TAP rds are L.E.O. but some suppliers have some to sell. The cool thing for varmit or hog hunting with night vision, they are classified as as a no flash powder. I would call it low flash but not no flash. Anyhow it does not have adverse effects on your night vision, since it is a Barrier rd designed for penetration, on wild hogs aim for shoulder to help expansion. I have not looked in a while but www.ammunitiontogo.com (http://www.ammunitiontogo.com) had some for public sell.

Hornady TAP ammunition is Law Enforcement Only? I doubt it. I can go to four or five distributors right now and order it for the shop.

Make sure you check the classifieds here also. I know a while back some people were selling lowers and uppers.

The Hornady Tap ammo at www.gtdist.com (http://www.gtdist.com) GT Distributors Austin, Tx. is restricted to Law Enforcement Sales Only, and that was my source, since I'm down to just over two cases any info you have on someone that will accept public sales it would be welcomed. Thanks

BTW I noticed your location, you carry that Bushmaster when your out on Independence? Knew a guy that had a camera repair shop on Independence, he always carried something! Used to go to a gunshop in Pineville if I remember right, worked at Minnesota Fabrics for a summer too.
