Hey all,

I saw boris's post about San Antonio. Jody and I went there several years back and had a blast. Thing we did that made things easier was we stayed on the riverwalk. Plenty of internet specials that make it about the same as staying anywhere else. We stayed at the Hawthorne Suites, included parking and was 100 bucks a night. We got around via the river taxis and other public transportation with no problem. We never got back in the truck intil it was time to leave, much like New Orleans ..... find a good place, get an internet special and make sure it includes parking! JMOs

The wife and I stayed at the Menger last weekend. Supposed to be haunted but thank the Lord not our room. We went there for a little early celebration of our anniversary. We had been down there a number of times over the years but never at Christmas time. The river walk with all the Christmas lights is very pretty. Road the boat as well as walked and went through the Alamo again. Also we took a carriage ride at night.
