CZ-52 Pistol Embarassment

I have a CZ-52 pistol with the Harrington mod firing pin. I noticed the firing pin was sticking so I decided to clean the firing pin channel. I succeeded in removing the firing pin assembly and cleaned the channel. I checked the detent clearance by inserting the firing pin backwards into the channel. The problem is that I went too far and now the firing pin is locked in the channel and I can't get it out. When you stop laughing I would appreciate any advice on removing the firing pin. Thanks, Bill

knc1105 will become famous soon enough
I have a bunch of 52's and I sent my gunsmith a link to your question to see if he can help you. He is amazing and has been doing all my gunsmithing since 1983. He also does a incredible trigger job on the 52's and he is the only one I know that can.

Have you tried using a needle through the firing pin hole? I am not all that familiar with the CZ52.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried to push out the pin from the firing pin hole with no success. I can push in the detent through the firing pin [Harrington Mod] but the pin will not slide out as it would if the pin were inserted correctly. Bill

Squirt a small about of penetrating oil in and they get your a small diamater punch and try gently tapping the pin out through the firing pin hole in the breach. Or you might try a small diameter pair of needle nose pliers and try from the other end. Good luck.
