My Cherry tomatos did good but thats about it. This heat this early has pretty much shut things down. The big tomato plants are growing good just no blooms. Others here are haveing the same thing happening to them. All in all a bad year for everybody.

something similar seems to be going on with me. the cherry tomatoes are growing well. the normal tomatoes aren't coming yet. there are some buds. just still waiting for some blooms.

I got an LED grow light and I have been putting some bell pepper plants and some seedling under them and so far so good. they seem to be liking that lighting system. hopefully some good fruits will come of it soon.

I'm also thinking of getting some kind of plastic tub and growing lettuce indoors. I've been reading about it and it seems easy enough to do.

As long as you don't have a cat your lettuce should grow fine in the house.

nope no cat.. and I am thinking that is a very good idea. would end up being so much cheaper than the organic lettuce at the store.

my habanero pepper plants have just about reached "tree" status. just waiting to see some flowers.

I have a very good amount of tomatoes on each cherry tomato plant. still not quite sure about the regular sized tomato plants. there are quite a few flowers. there might be a very small ball type shape on some of the flowers so hoping to actually get some tomatoes growing on them.

I ordered some very interesting heirloom tomato seeds from a great site I found that has hundreds of different heirloom tomato seeds. I just planted one called "super snow white" which is a white cherry tomato. some of these tomatoes I am finding I never even knew existed. I can't wait to try them!

Only ones I have are using them in pickle recipes.

my habanero plants that I planted back in march from seeds that I dried out myself from a store bought habanero, are still doing good. they have their second sets of peppers growing now. the first set ripened to a beautiful orange glossy color and were HOTTER than the store bought peppers!

I still have my 2 habanero plants from last year. they are still producing well. and I have grown several tomatoes indoors over the winter.. didn't have a huge harvest but what I was able to grow myself and eat sure tasted better than the storebought tomatoes.

I have several different kinds of heirloom tomatoes growing now. wapsipinicon peach, green pineapple, super snow white, black prince, black sea man, lime green salad, new big dwarf, sweet orange cherry, and angora super sweet. not sure how well they will do however, because all of a sudden this year, the apartment complex wants to call chairs and plants on the balcony a fire and trip hazzard... my mom has been in her apartment here for 15 years and has had outdoor chairs and plants out every single summer... so I think the whole complex is not happy about that. but I will do my best anyway. oh also I have several california wonder peppers and a long red cayenne plant growing.

I will probably transplant what I can at my sister's place. she has a small garden area so that should at least give them a chance. I really wish I could buy my own land right about now.

Can't put ours out yet. But last year we all snacked on the grape tomatoes. The yellow ones were even tastier.
